Thanks to everyone who has checked out the responses to the #threequestionsEDU series so far. We are back into the swing of things now so I’ve started posting responses again. Yesterday’s saw Bukky Yusuf sharing her thoughts. Today we have the responses of Hannah Wilson.
If you’d like to respond to the questions please read this post first. I am still taking responses and would love to hear from you! Kicking off this #threequestionsEDU response is Hannah Wilson from the UK. Thanks for responding Hannah!!

A bit about yourself:
Exec HT/ #WomenEd.
What do you think are the biggest issues facing education right now?
Wellbeing & Workload – we need a national strategy for attraction, recruitment, retention, development & deployment of teachers & leaders including a pledge for diversity & flexibility.
What’s your favourite teaching and learning idea / technique / strategy / tool?
I haven’t taught for a year as I have been leading staff training. I have just planned my first two lessons. After a summer teaching in Tanzania with LRTT & following the #NakedTeachingDay movement I have really reflected on how we teach. Less is definitely more. Our team are aligned in delivering a values-based education, are committed to literacy underpinning all subjects & are focused on delivering inclusive, reflective classroom practice.
If you were appointed Minister of Education in your country, what would be the first thing you’d change and why?
Relocation packages for teachers to move to the cold spots, housing schemes for teachers to stay in the expensive regions, a pledge for wellbeing & mental leads in every school, training for governors & school leaders on unconscious bias.
