Catch up with day one of the #Edtech50 schools tour

By November 13, 2018No Comments

So we’ve been on tour now for two days so playing catch up a little bit. We had a fantastic first day on the tour yesterday. I’m currently writing this in the camper van in Fishguard having just visited the lovely Holy Name School in Fishguard. We are shortly off to go and meet up with ClassCharts founder, Duncan Wilson.

We started on Brighton beach yesterday morning meeting with Ed Barton, founder of Curiscope and our interview with him can be viewed below:

From Brighton we moved on to Portsmouth College where we met with colleagues, students and Principal, Simon Barrable. Our interview with him can be viewed here:

I loved our conversation with Simon, hearing the great things around vision, culture, relationships, teaching and learning.

From Portsmouth, we then headed to Bristol where we then met with Interactive Scientific discussing their NanoSimBox tool. Hear our interview with them here:

Following this meeting, we then met with Gary Henderson from Millfield School in Somerset. As Director of IT, Gary has a wealth of experience about supporting teachers with technology to enhance teaching and learning and it was great to hear his points of view on great edtech.

You can watch our interview with Gary here:

Keep track of our journey by following the hashtag #edtech50 and looking at the ICT Evangelist Twitter feed. Thanks to everyone who have been tuning in and watching and supporting from the sidelines, particularly NetSupportGroup for their sponsorship of the tour and Anna Pedroza and her media team and Imogen from the Education Foundation for their hard work behind the scenes.
