Donna is a Head of ICT at Filton. She spoke about how great QR codes are, being able to link to texts and pictures. They can be created easily using a QR code generator. Donna’s school has used this as a treasure hunt activity for Open Activity, a revision trail for a department around the school as a mapping exercise and a way to interact with the local area. The website QR stuff allows greater flexibility with what you can link to.
Other ideas include:
Accelerated reader scheme, books with QR codes on to read what others think about the books. A desktop QR reader can allow easy access to this in the library.
Stick a QR code into textbooks to link to websites or pictures for further information! Great revision.
