AppVent Calendar Day Three – NetSupport Notify

By December 3, 2019No Comments

Welcome to this, the third day on the #Appvent calendar. Today’s entry is none other than NetSupport Notify. There are lots of ways that technology can help in the smooth running of a school environment. NetSupport Notify is one such of those tools.

What is NetSupport Notify?

There are many scenarios in a school or college where school leaders or admin teams need to be able to notify users about different things. Let’s say you want to do an update which affects users at a certain time, Notify can send a scheduled on-screen message to all affected users to make them aware a scheduled event is going to take place and to give them time to get logged out of their system. It can help in lots of other ways too.

Where Notify can help:

Notify is designed to help you send one-way alerts and notifications to different users around your school or college that cannot be skipped, ignored or saved for later. It is not a tool for conversations or chatting. NetSupport Notify scales to the largest of organisations with multiple sites and provides varying priorities, customisations, delivery options and reporting.

It’s not a tool that is going to engage children in their learning but it can be used as a system of quietly sharing important messages when the need arises. Wet break today? Quickly ping an on-screen message to all of your teachers. Assembly run over? Let affected classrooms know. Got a worst-case scenario where emergency or lockdown procedures need to be deployed, Notify can do it. Using Notify helps to reduce time wastage and improve the effective communication of important and critical messages.

It is the quick, slick and secure way to let everyone know what needs to be done. Notify can also send messages to your signage around your school, should you wish and can work across multiple sites; perfect for a multi-campus college or through school using multiple buildings on a bigger site. You can also customise the messages to match your school’s branding. You can set the severity of the message too in order to make sure colleagues are clear on the importance of the notification. It’s popular too, given they have more than 2 million users worldwide.

I’m looking forward to sharing more with you across the rest of the Appvent series. Watch out too for some special guests who will be recommending some great tools from their classrooms too. More tomorrow!

This is a sponsored post.

This activity wouldn’t be possible without the sponsorship of some of the entries, therefore to support my activity a number of posts during the calendar are sponsored. Rest assured, I wouldn’t be recommending things if I wasn’t confident of their efficacy and impact.
