Is that #EdTech tool pedagogically valid

By December 31, 2016No Comments

I read a blog post the other day it resonated because so much of its content was on a level with my thinking around technology use in the classroom too.

The post written by Paul Moss (@EDmerger) was called ‘Is that edtech tool pedagogically valid?’ and at the end of the post he posed a number of questions. I thought that these questions would be better represented as a flow-chart to help people with their thinking around their use of education technology.

What I have loved about this has been the response that it has garnered on social media since I first posted it the other day. I am always the first to say that I don’t know everything; no-one can, so what has been really lovely have been the various pieces of feedback that the piece has received giving ideas for tweaks, changes and updates, for example:

This feedback has been really helpful and so I have made version two of the image which you can see below:

My thanks to those people who have fed into and replied with questions about the image. As always I am indebted to my extensive PLN who always help and support my thinking. Thank you.
