Google do it again with Snapseed update

One of the staples of my mobile photo-editing Apps for a very long time has been Google’s ‘Snapseed’.

Snapseed - original icon

It has always had some really impressive features all in the one App. From tune-up options such as cropping and image adjustments for contrast, brightness etc. through to options for creating great effects such as tilt-shift, centre focus, HDR and frames. It has always been a fab free App for photo editing and touch- up.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get much better, it has.

It’s had its own refresh with a new icon and new user interface.

When you load the App you’re presented with a new splash screen…

This then changes to ask you for to choose one of a few options:

Then you can choose your photo. Once you have done that, you can then choose from a variety of options from two main types. Image touch up or image effects:

The results are quite stunning. Check these before and after shots…

Snapseed is free and can be found on the iOS App Store for iPhone and iPad, it can also be downloaded from the Google Play store.
